MAHA stands for Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture & Agrotourism and is the leading agricultural show of its kind in Malaysia and the region.
The 2022 edition, themed "Food Security for the Future," took place from August 4-14 at MAEPS Serdang, Malaysia. This biennial event aimed to spotlight the agricultural and agro-based industries, providing a platform for government agencies, businesses, and innovators to connect and collaborate.
MAHA 2022 offered a comprehensive overview of the agricultural ecosystem, encompassing input suppliers, farmers, traders, processors, distributors, logistics, consumers, and related industries. The event also highlighted the integration of data analytics, automation, and technology into modern farming practices.
A pioneering aspect of MAHA 2022 was its hybrid format, combining in-person and virtual experiences. This innovative approach expanded reach and engagement, driving industry growth and revenue generation.
The exhibition served as a catalyst for young entrepreneurs, inspiring them to enter the agro-food sector. By promoting sustainable and profitable practices, MAHA contributed to the development of a thriving and environmentally responsible agricultural landscape.
On Day 4 of the MAHA visit, the journey began at Entrance Hall A, to explore various exhibits, including the HPPNK booth and strawberry indoor farming. The day featured multiple food tastings, from Amplang and honey to soursop tea and fresh dates. Scenic highlights included the Mardi Garden, Orchid Garden, Sunflower Garden, and Tropical Garden, with serene spots for reflection and photography. The tour concluded at Hall D with a diverse food-hunting experience, featuring dishes like Ayam Cheese, Roti John, and Tsunami Fried Rice, wrapping up with dinner and a farewell until the next review.
